Taylor Arnold Graduate Recital

J. Taylor Arnold (b. 1990) is a New York City based composer, and bassoonist originally from Ogden, Utah.  A lifelong fan of theater, film, dance, and visual art, Taylor likes to write music that tells stories.  He loves collaborating with other artists across genres.  Taylor has collaborated with visual artists, other composers, and NYC based choreographers to create multiple new works.  His works have been premiered by notable groups like MIVOS Quartet, RighteousGIRLS, and NEXT Ensemble. His works have been part of the Pulsing & Shaking Festival in NYC, Bari Piano Festival in Italy, and the New Year New Music Concert Series in Utah. He received a Bachelor of Music in Bassoon Performance from Weber State University. Taylor is currently a composition student at New York University where he’s a Masters Candidate in Music Theory and Composition - he has studied with Robert Honstein and Michael Gordon.
