Cole Blouin
Cole Blouin is a songwriter, improvisor and composer whose music wanders in the wilderness between the worlds of singer-songwriter music, traditional folk, free improvisation and contemporary notated music. A student of composer/improvisors Carla Kihlstedt, Joe Morris, Anthony Coleman and composer Stratis Minakakis, he has performed alongside such artists as Coleman and Matana Roberts; his August 2018 tour also includes a duo set with bassist Robert Black. His influences are as wide-ranging as Dock Boggs, Joanna Newsom, Frank Ocean and Horatiu Radulescu. He studies Contemporary Improvisation at New England Conservatory.

At one point in his set, he will be joined by trumpeter, friend, and former roommate extraordinaire: the one, the only, the great, the Tree Palmedo.
